About BlueGrape.

Blue Grape started because of frustration with how organisations were approaching employee engagement. “Employee Engagement” was becoming a combination of an annual engagement survey with lots of data to analyse, and an office football table and a fridge full of beers on a Friday.

Some organisations added employee incentive programmes – things like bonuses, awards, tuition reimbursement, more time off, and additional flexibility in work arrangements. But at the same time, refer to people as ‘talent’ or “High Potential”, and if you didn’t get that label, were you then ‘talent unworthy’ or “Low Potential”?

We don’t think this approach is good enough if we want our organisations to be agile, responsive and thrive in this VUCA world and win the war to attract and retain great people.

One of the biggest challenges you can undertake in your job is to arrange a team away day. My advice for you is to ensure you know what you want to achieve, pick a suitable venue but most importantly pick a facilitator who can support you to achieve what you want.

Rhiannon managed to understand our problem, the best way to approach this and how to deliver on the day. After three phone calls her understanding of who we were and what we needed to do was amazing. The only negative feedback I have had from the team is why we didn’t get her in sooner.
